An accomplished physical therapist and founder of ARSO Neuro Rehab and Orthopedic Center LLC, Dr. Judith Cooper is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) as well as the Neurology Section.
Dr. Cooper received her bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from Universidad Latina of Panama Republic in 2000, followed by a Master of Physical Therapy (MPT) degree from Howard University in 2006. In 2008, Ms. Cooper earned a doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from A.T. Still University. She is also a member of The Academy of Certiﬁed Brain Injury Specialists (ACBIS).
Seeing the need to expand her reach, Dr. Cooper successfully completed training in interpretation services and is a qualiﬁed bilingual interpreter in Spanish/English. Her extensive educational and professional background have resulted in numerous speaking engagements, including one as a guest international speaker at The Rehabilitation Medicine Conference in Panama Republic on Traumatic Brain Injury and Neurological Rehabilitation. In addition, Dr. Cooper has conducted a number of diversiﬁed presentations for the APTA and AMRPA.
Dr. Cooper is conﬁrmed to teach neurological and orthopedic courses at University Latina, and is an APTA Certiﬁed Clinical Instructor. She has also led several web-based education courses, as well as virtual live class study for entry level and post-professional physical therapy.
Additionally, Dr. Cooper has a continued interest in the treatment of patients living with Parkinson’s Disease. She received her certiﬁcation in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT BIG)® in 2013. Dr. Cooper is currently exploring more learning opportunities. In particular, technologies available for patients suffering from Foot drop due to stroke, multiple sclerosis and spinal cord injury. Those technologies include Functional Electrical Stimulation as well as Bioness® training.
